Some people spend decades wondering what they’ll be when they grow up. Carol White was still asking herself that question in her early 50s. Then she landed on the answer, and it turned out to be closets.
If you’ve driven past the Ramah Executive Park in Huntersville lately, you’ve passed the showroom she’s spent the last year building. But the road there ran a lot longer than that.
From Indianapolis to Our Lake
Carol’s career started far from here, with a long run in public relations at GTE – the company that eventually became Verizon. That work carried her from Indianapolis to Madison and on to Dallas, until a buyout package finally gave her the chance to stay home with her youngest.
A friend’s suggestion led her to a job at a big-box organization store, where she spent seven years learning closet design, sales, and the thing she now does better than just about anyone: helping people make sense of their stuff.
In 2014, she and her husband Brian landed in the Charlotte area, and a chance conversation at her Cornelius BNI chapter eventually became a closet company. She launched it two weeks before COVID – “a great time and a horrible time to start a home improvement business,” as she puts it – and bought out her partner in 2022. The business turned six on March 1st, 2026
Solution Selling, Not Hard Selling
Ask Carol what she actually does, and she won’t lead with cabinets. She’ll talk about your morning. The trips between the shower, the bedroom, the bathroom, and the closet – all that “travel time” most of us never notice until someone points it out. Drop a couple of drawers near the shower, keep the jewelry with the clothes, and suddenly the whole routine calms down.
That’s the heart of it. Impeccable Closets designs and installs custom closets, pantries, laundry rooms, home offices, craft rooms, beverage centers – Carol’s even done a prayer room. “It’s one of those things you don’t know you need until you have it,” she says, “and then you don’t understand how you lived without it.”
Closets Worth Bragging About
The fun projects pile up. There’s the two-story closet with 16-foot ceilings, where the husband climbs a spiral staircase to his floor and the wife keeps the whole first level. And the local pro athlete’s sneaker gallery – floor-to-ceiling shelves, lighting, crown molding, room for 265 pairs. (He showed up with 228, so there’s room to grow.)
Come Say Hello
Carol credits a whole crew of neighbors – Payroll Plus, the To Do Crew, Simply Balanced Bookkeeping, and her BNI buddies – for helping the business hum. With 2026 bringing new hires and a bigger showroom, this feels like just the start.
Stop by the showroom in Huntersville – she’d love to show you around.
